- ISO 15730 "Electropolishing as a means of smoothing and passivating stinless steel"
- AMAT 0250-13605 " Electropolishing Specification for 300 Series Stainless Steel" (PSL is qualified by Applied Materials for this spec)
- MEL99-009 G-4 "Chemical Cleaning and Treatment of 300/400 Series Stainless Steel Components" (Electropolishing is included in this spec. PSL is qualified by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for this spec.)
- EPUHV-300-795 "Electropolishing of Ultra-High Vacuum Components"
- SEMI F19 "Specification for the Finish of the Wetted Surface of Electropolished 316L Stainless Steel Components"

- QQ-P-35C Federal Specification "Passivation Treatments for Corrosion-Resistant Steel" This spec has been replaced by ASTM A967 but is still seen on many drawings.
